Experience the changing of seasons on a hike through Oak Ridge, one of Cat Island’s hardwood forests,  ending with a view of Winyah Bay. The ecology and history of the forest will be discussed along the way,  including a glimpse of carnivorous Pitcher Plants before they go dormant for the winter. This program  includes a leisurely hike through the forest that does include some hills and uneven ground. Participants  should be prepared to cross the Intracoastal Waterway via pontoon boat, as well as around 3 miles of  walkin.
