Classifying Nature

Learn how biologists classify the many organisms in nature, from a longleaf pine to a bumble bee. Children will be encouraged to use their creativity to classify organisms of their own creation, as well as some real-life examples. Program will include indoor instructional time, a fun activity, and an outing on Cat Island to use our classification skills to identify real-time observations. Designed for children in 3 rd grade and above. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Please bring snacks, water, and be prepared for heat and biting insects. Program will last around 2 hours.
